O Est\u00e1dio Municipal Jo\u00e3o Elmo Moreno Cavalcante<\/em><\/strong>, depois alterou o nome para Ant\u00f4nio Moreno de Mello<\/em><\/strong>, o ‘Moren\u00e3o’<\/em><\/strong>, fica situado no seguinte endere\u00e7o: Rua Professora Maria Rosa Gouv\u00eaia, n\u00ba 200-352, no bairro Sete de Setembro, em Iguatu (CE).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Com grama natural (105 x 68 m)<\/em><\/strong> e Capacidade para 3.600 pessoas<\/em><\/strong>, \u00e0s obras do Moren\u00e3o<\/em><\/strong> tiveram in\u00edcio em 1979, sendo conclu\u00eddo dois anos depois. Para ser preciso, o est\u00e1dio<\/em><\/strong> foi inaugurado<\/em><\/strong> – na ter\u00e7a-feira, do dia <\/em>19 de Maio de 1981<\/em> – no jogo entre Cear\u00e1<\/em><\/strong> e Fortaleza<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n

Natural da cidade de Sobral, o engenheiro Ivo Viana<\/em> foi quem projetou o Est\u00e1dio Moren\u00e3o<\/em><\/strong>. A Engecom Engenharia, Projeto, Constru\u00e7\u00e3o Ltda.<\/em><\/strong> foi a respons\u00e1vel pelo in\u00edcio e conclus\u00e3o das obras.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Em 2012, a prefeitura de Iguatu<\/em> realizou obras de expans\u00e3o no Est\u00e1dio Moren\u00e3o<\/em><\/strong>. As equipes Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Desportiva Iguatu<\/em><\/strong> e Iguatu Futebol Clube<\/em><\/strong> s\u00e3o agremia\u00e7\u00f5es da cidade, que mandam os seus jogos no est\u00e1dio municipal<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n
